The Kings Head is one of the oldest and best-known pubs in the county town, located on Mardol, close to the River Severn and surrounded by shops and landmarks. The King's Head is a timber-framed Grade 2 listed building, particularly well known for its 15th century wall mural, which draws in many curious tourists. The pub offers a selection of ales, lagers, ciders and soft drinks. Meat is sourced from a local butcher and dishes are cooked from fresh where possible, for the best possible taste.

The Shrewsbury Hotel is located opposite the Welsh Bridge and River Severn. It is a J D Wetherspoon hotel, offering superb quality, choice and value, in food, drink and accommodation. The hotel has 22 individual bedrooms, many with a river view. All rooms are en-suite and include hot drink making facilities, a hair dryer and television. Free Wi-Fi is available in the bar.

The Nags Head is a friendly, traditional pub, located on the historic Wyle Cop. In existence since before 1780, the pub has kept the same name throughout its history. The Nags is a perfect place to enjoy a traditional pint of ale and good company. The pub offers a changing selection of ales such as Brakspear Oxford Gold, Salopian Shropshire Gold, Sharps Doom Bar, Stonehouse Station Bitter and Timothy Taylor Landlord.

Ashley's Bar is a fully licensed establishment with a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.

Situated alongside the River Severn, the Salopian Bar is a unique establishment, offering a great selection of real ales, Belgian beers and ciders, served in a relaxed, contemporary atmosphere. There are eight ales permanently on sale, and the pub holds two real ale festivals each year. There are also three Belgian Beers on draught and a good choice of bottled American and Belgian Beers. The Salopian has won accolades from CAMRA, as well as being named Shrewsbury & West Shropshire Pub of the Year on several occasions.

The Wheatsheaf is a traditional pub, situated in an original half-timbered building on Shrewsbury High Street. The pub has gradually expanded its choice of real ales and fine wines and now offers something for everyone.
