‘Silly Games’ come to Shrewsbury for summer holiday fun

Children will be getting sporty at Shrewsbury’s Darwin Shopping Centre this week, when the popular Snapper Jaxx Kids’ Club returns for a free day of summer holiday fun and games.

On Thursday 28th July, parents and their children are being invited to join Rio Relay and Carmela Carnival as they compete in the ‘Snapper Jaxx Silly Games’. Between 11am and 4pm, youngsters will be encouraged to take part in Rio’s sporty challenges to help him prepare for the beginning of the games, whilst Carmela teaches children how to dance to her funky samba beats.

Shrewsbury Shopping Centre Manager Kevin Lockwood said he was expecting the free children’s event to be a hit with youngsters and parents alike. “Snapper Jaxx has been incredibly popular throughout the year so far, and we are delighted to see it return for the school holidays,” he said. “Everyone is gearing up for this summer’s massive sporting event in Rio, so we’re extremely excited to be celebrating by hosting our very own Snapper Jaxx Silly Games.”

The free monthly Snapper Jaxx Kids Club is held in the Darwin and Pride Hill Shopping Centres and has a different theme on Thursdays throughout the year.
