Digital artist appeals for public help to light up Market Hall

An international projection artist is inviting members of the public to be part of a spectacular nightly light show that will transform the exterior of Shrewsbury Market Hall into a flurrying snowstorm in the run up to Christmas.

Andy McKeown, whose work has appeared all over the world, is to project the constantly changing storm onto the front of the building in Mardol Head.

Shoppers invited to support 'Small Business Saturday'

Shrewsbury Business Improvement District (BID) is supporting the national campaign 'Small Business Saturday' to encourage shoppers to support local business in the community.

Saturday 6th December will be an opportunity to explore the town's eclectic mix of independent businesses, quirky and original shops, cafés and bars during one of the busiest trading periods of the year.

Local Music star Gareth Rhys Jones releases 'This is your Christmas'

Talented local musician Gareth Rhys Jones, the man behind the music for the 'Christmas in Shrewsbury' video, will be releasing the full version of 'This is your Christmas' on Monday 1st December.

Available on iTunes, Amazon and other online retailers, the release coincides with the launch of the Shrewsbury Business Improvement District's (BID) latest video 'Christmas in Shrewsbury'.

Shrewsbury's Square set to shine again

A unique lighting show which launched earlier this month on the wall of Shrewsbury's Museum and Art Gallery will return on Wednesday 17th December in time for the annual Carols in the Square event.
