Author John Connolly comes to Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury Library recently won a competition run in conjunction with The Reading Agency who work with libraries, publishers, and other partners. The library’s display, to showcase the Charlie Parker series of books written by John Connolly, was judged a winner. 

Top comedian comes to town

One of the ‘finest female comedians at work’ arrives in Shrewsbury at the end of the month for an exclusive performance at Henry Tudor House.

Power of short poems to be explored at free University Centre Shrewsbury lecture

The intensity and power of a selection of memorable short poems will be explored at a free lecture at University Centre Shrewsbury (UCS) this month.

With a dozen examples, Bill Hughes will reflect on ‘Brief Delights: the Art and Craft of the Miniature Poem’ on Wednesday 23rd March at Guildhall, UCS’s learning and research base, from 7pm to 8.30pm.
