Artists’ workshop to be held in town

  • Hilary Hannaford of Write Here prepares for the workshop with Wellington artist Cliff Guttridge

An artists’ workshop, led by a specialist in fine art products, is to be held in Shropshire this spring.

Write Here, a pen and artists’ material shop in Shrewsbury’s High Street, is organising the event on 30th April when participants will be encouraged to explore the maximum use of colour.

The shop is the only regional stockist of products by Pip Seymour who has developed a range of British-made fine art materials and he will be leading the workshop, to be held in the Unitarian Church in Shrewsbury High Street.

Enthusiasts from across the county are invited to this creative event, where they will be able to meet the paints expert and experiment with different mediums.

“In developing his range, Pip has looked at long-forgotten colours, alongside ancient and modern pigments, to create colour palettes to suit the needs of the most progressive and challenging artists.

“He will be leading the session to share his knowledge and enthusiasm for the superb selection of materials he has created,” said Jonathan Parker, manager of Write Here.

Anyone interested in attending the workshop, which will be held on the afternoon of 30th April, should contact Jonathan on 01743 245950.
