Broadband boost for businesses

The arrival of superfast broadband at one of Shrewsbury's leading commercial sites is set to give a big boost to business in the town. BT has just enabled fibre broadband on Shrewsbury Business Park after several years of planning.

Matt Sandford, managing director of Pure Telecom, which recently moved to larger premises on the business park, said that his company was now accepting orders to provide this broadband service to neighbouring companies.

"This is great news for Shrewsbury and for businesses here. Fibre broadband is so much faster and more reliable. It is exactly what is needed and we have been waiting for several years for its arrival," said Matt.

"The local exchange has now been enabled - this a big win for businesses on the park who also have a broadband specialist like ourselves here, meaning they will get real concierge service with a local support team and dedicated account manager on the doorstep.

"We are offering premium business grade broadband with speeds of 60-80MB per second download and 20MB upload, free connection and router for £45 per month.

"In the past businesses would have had to pay many hundreds of pounds, with installation costs running in to the thousands, for a leased line to get the same sort of speeds.

"With cloud/hosted telephony and IT taking the country by storm this could not be better timing for companies of all sizes on Shrewsbury Business Park."

Pure Telecom's clients on the site already include Whittingham Riddell, FCB Manby Bowdler, St James's Place, Alaska Properties and Guestline.
