Festive Pottery workshops this November for Children & Adults at the Hive in Shrewsbury.

On Wednesday November 8th, The Hive in Shrewsbury is hosting two festive pottery workshops for children and adults, giving people the opportunity to create their own Christmas decorations in time for the festive period.

The Festive Pottery for children aged 4-9 years will take place from 3:45PM – 4:45PM and the Adult Festive Pottery takes place from 6:45PM – 9:15PM.

Emma Croall, Programmes & Projects manager at the Hive said: “We’re getting into the festive spirit early at the Hive, giving people of all ages the chance to create Christmas decorations they can put up in their homes or give as gifts to friends and family in time for the festive period.”

The workshops will be run by professional pottery teacher Stephanie Kelly, one of the Hive’s regular workshop leaders. Stephanie will teach you how to make your own clay creation using a variety of sculpting techniques. After the workshops, your creations will be glazed and fired in the kiln and then ready for collection at the Hive.

These wild themed workshops form part of a “Wild Season” which is taking place at the Hive throughout Autumn/Winter period and includes several wild themed films including The Fox & The Child on Sunday 12th November at 4PM and Into the Woods on Wednesday 15th November at 11AM.
