Free Parking from NCP during Refurbishments

  • NCP Shrewsbury, free parking

NCP Wyle Cop car park is offering three days of free parking starting today (17th February) during its major renovation work on the site as a thank you to businesses and customers during the renovation period.

Susan Winmill, NCP Business Manager for the West Midlands, said: “We’ve been busy working on the improvements over the past few weeks and we want to thank everyone for their patience with free car parking during half term.”

The upgrade work includes demolishing the building structure of the covered car park area, introducing improved lighting and also landscaping the outdoor area of the site.

The improved car park will be completed by the end of February with landscaping works also set to be carried out, and will include a small 24 hour car parking area.

Kirsten Henly, Executive Director Shrewsbury BID, commented: “We’re looking forward to the town benefitting from NCP’s investment on the site. The free parking is a great offer which coincides with the busy half term holiday. I would encourage people to make the most of this opportunity, it’s another good reason for visiting the town.”

The free car parking is available from 6.00am- 10pm on 17th-19th February inclusive. The car park will remain accessible throughout the 6-8 week programme of work.
