House of Fraser to introduce exciting new brands to Shrewsbury as part of a major refurbishment

As part of a major refurbishment, House of Fraser the much-loved department store in Shrewsbury is undergoing a full interior refit which will see the introduction of new premium brands across beauty, womenswear, menswear and fashion accessories and the opening of a new café. 

The significant investment will see House of Fraser Shrewsbury increase the size of its womenswear, menswear and beauty floors, with new flooring and lighting throughout, as well as exposing windows to allow more natural light in to the store.  The new floor layouts will create a more effective use of space and create an opportunity to bring even more premium brands to Shrewsbury.

The department store’s beauty hall will be significantly transformed with the introduction of  new luxury brands.  The new beauty hall will boast Origins and La Mer, two brands which are not currently available in the town.   The fashion accessories department will nearly double in size, with new handbag brands including Fossil, Ted Baker and Barbour.

Menswear and womenswear will undergo a full modernisation with new flooring, lighting and fitting rooms.  Menswear will see new premium brands and labels with Tommy Hilfiger and Dune Shoes.  Meanwhile womenswear will launch eight new brands, including Hobbs, Oui, Gant, Barbour Lifestyle and Hal Huber to name a few.

Wild Mint, a new contemporary café, will open on the second floor.  Wild Mint will serve traditional English afternoon tea, a selection of cakes, breakfast and lunch.

House of Fraser will remain open during the refurbishment with an estimated completion date of mid-October.
