Wild themed half term workshops for children and young people at the Hive in Shrewsbury

Starting on Monday October 23rd, The Hive in Shrewsbury is hosting a range of workshops for children and young people throughout the half term week based around a “wild” theme to help engage more young people in the creative arts.

Emma Croall, Programmes & Projects manager at the Hive said: “Autumn is a great season for getting out and about in nature and we wanted to bring some of that wild inspiration into our creative workshops for children and young people. We hope the wide variety of activities we have on offer will give more young people the opportunity to explore the creative arts and develop new skills.”

The half term workshops include a variety of activities, from pottery for ages 4-13, a music workshop giving the young people the opportunity to make and record music with a professional musician and a two-day Halloween film-making workshop run by Shropshire based film-maker, Aaron Child of Painted Life Productions.

These wild themed workshops form part of a “Wild Season” which is taking place at the Hive throughout Autumn and includes several wild themed films, plus a talk by BBC Wildlife Producer and Researcher, Louise Emerson on Friday 27th of October.
