Depressed Cake Shop

Tue, 10th Oct 2017 11:00am to 2:00pm

Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery, in Partnership with Shropshire Mind, are hosting a Depressed Cake Shop to coincide with World Mental Health Day on Tuesday 10th October 11am – 2pm at the museum.

The Depressed Cake Shop is a pop-up café which sells delicious baked goods, donated by local bakers, in order to raise awareness of mental health issues and provide a focus for discussion and community.

There is only one proviso - all of the treats on sale will have an element of grey to signify the grey cloud that can descend over someone who is struggling with mental health issues. Stop. Coffee Shop, Ginger & Co and O’Joy are among the many bakers whose delicious and poignant treats will be on sale.

Everyone is welcome and we would be delighted if you could publicise it by printing the attached poster and sharing on your social media including the following handles @shrewsburymuseum @mindcharity @depressedcakeshop #DepressedCakeShop #ShrewsburyDepressedCake.

The Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery at the Music Hall is open for your delight.
