Mapping Magic: Investigating stories of witchcraft and magic

Sat, 15th Jul 2017
Shropshire Archives,
Castle Gates
SY1 2AQ Shrewsbury

With the support of Oxford Brookes Central Research Fund, Oxford Brookes’ Reader in Romantic & Nineteenth-Century Literature, Dr Simon White, has developed an innovative Historypin Special Collection called Mapping Magic.

Mapping Magic covers the whole of Great Britain, including Shropshire, through an interactive map. It allows anyone to go online and ‘pin’ a snippet of text, historical photo, video, audio recording or personal recollection to the interactive map.

This event will demonstrate how you can join in with the project, as well as showcasing fascinating items relating to witchcraft and magic from the collections at Shropshire Archives.
