Parisian singer Céline Dommart brings her unique blend of French chanson, Spanish tango and American jazz to The Maltings Arts Theatre in St Albans on Saturday 3rd June. Following airplay on BBC Radio 3 for her debut EP 'La Vie En Rose', Céline has now released the album ‘Dans Les Cafes Voisins’ with her quartet. The band - Montparnasse – features award winning acoustic guitarist Cris Tolley, double bass legend Paul Smith and drum wizard Robin Payne.

The band have a unique sound and approach. Céline sings in French, English, Spanish and Italian - opening up a whole World of music for her audience. Recent sell out concerts at Townsend Hall and Upton Jazz Festival and Midlands Arts Centre have confirmed the band as one of the most entertaining acts around leaving audience members saying they were ‘mesmerised’ by Celine’s performance. Expect to hear songs made famous by Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour and George Brassens along with well known tunes performed with alternative French or Spanish lyrics.
