Images:
Fri, 21st Jul 2017 to Sun, 23rd Jul 2017

The first ever Shrewsbury International Comedy Festival (SICF) is happening on one BIG weekend in July 2017.

Providing opportunities for top circuit acts to preview their Edinburgh Fringe Festival material, and giving a very select crowd of comedy fans an unmissable chance to see them, the festival will feature 16 performances, across 4 venues in Shrewsbury.

COMING TO THE OLD POST OFFICE*

FRIDAY 21 JULY

8PM - 9PM  DANNY McLOUGHLIN 01/02

2001 a former paper boy left 6th form with a solid idea of how to live his life. An idea he swiftly abandoned when it became evident he'd soon be dead, or worse. 01/02 is a stand up show about one particular week in a young man's life. A week, full of so much excess, terrible decisions and even more terrible clothes, that it drove a teenage lad to already question how he was living his life. The turn of the century was a terrible place, come and watch Danny explain how he came out of the other side.

9.30PM - 10.30PM ADAM ROWE UNBEARABLE

Adam Rowe is unbearable. Self indulgent, arrogant, and prides himself on an ability to make absolutely anything about himself. When bad stuff happens in his life and the life of people around him, his immediate reaction is to write a joke about it. But just how far can he take that? This show is where we'll find out. Join Adam for a brand new hour of his trademark: no holds barred, heavily opinionated and brutally honest, soul bearing stand-up.

SATURDAY 22 JULY

3PM - 4PM  MILO McCABE AS TROY HAWKE IN 'THE TALENTED MR HAWKE'

TROY HAWKE ('mad comic genius' Scotsman) is finding politics everywhere he goes… in the Poundland, down at the
Bingo… in his local nightclub… they are suddenly inescapable… but what to do with them? Which way to swing? Join Troy as he gets right to the pulsing dirty heart of every major issue that faces us in this barbaric dystopian present.

6.45PM - 7.45PM  TOM WRIGGLESWORTH NEW BITS & GREATEST HITS

10.30PM - 11.30PM  TONY COWARDS DAFT PUN

If you're a fan of puns and are up all night for good fun, prepare to get lucky as TONY COWARDS, 'The Punosaurus' (List), brings his new show, DAFT PUN to audiences worldwide. If laughter is the best medicine, then Tony is a veritable pharmacy of comedy.

SUNDAY 23 JULY

2.30PM - 3.30PM  PHIL NICHOL YOUR WRONG

Brexit - Your wrong. Trump - Your wrong. Twitter- Your wrong. Tinder - Your wrong. Grammar - Your wrong. Edinburgh Award Winner PHIL NICHOL has made mistakes and so have you. Not coming to this show would be another one for both of you.
