Shropshire Young Thinkers’ Competition

About

This evening event forms the kick off for a reimagined DarwIN Shrewsbury Festival taking place from February 8th until 25th with a raft of new and exciting activities planned.

This first event promises to be a spellbinding and emotional journey into the creative minds of the region's young. The live reading event will feature each of the finalists of the Shropshire Young Thinkers’ Competition where a host of brilliant entrants will bring to life their own concept of 'one big idea that will change the world'.

The judging panel comprising Provost, Professor Anna Sutton from UCS, Chairman of Morris & Company, Robin Morris and celebrated children's author Isabel Thomas will listen, deliberate and finally crown the winning entry from each age category along with two runners up per category. Prizes and celebrations will follow.
