Cooltrader offers a great range of brand name products at some of the cheapest prices anywhere. Since opening its first store in 2001, Cooltrader has grown markedly, now has over 230 stores, and was bought by Heron Foods in 2012. The company sources products that supermarkets are too big and unwieldy to buy, allowing Cooltrader to jump on a bargain, and pass that on to its customers! However, the company strongly believes that good value should not be at the expense of good customer service.

Established in 1842, Tanners is a family run, independent wine merchant. Tanners delivers an excellent collection of wines and spirits all over the UK. About half of Tanners sales are to quality-minded hotels and restaurants and half to private clients and corporate customers, both locally and around the country. Tanners is all about good, traditional service, delivered by a team of friendly and knowledgeable staff, many of whom are long-serving. Appleyards is a long-established delicatessen on Wyle Cop, which draws customers in with its spectacular window display of delicious deli food. This traditional shop offers a mouth-watering array of deli essentials, from countless cheeses to homemade breads, preserved hams hanging from the ceiling and unusual ales. Many of the products such as cheeses and beers are produced locally, but there are also some unusual products from further afield. In short, Appleyards stocks goodies for almost any occasion!

Taste of Shrewsbury are a small family business offering both takeaway and eat in facilities, including the gallery tea room that seats thirty two people. The standard menu offers sandwiches, baguettes, paninis, homemade soups, and jacket potatoes. There is also a seasonal specials menu, and afternoon tea menu with renowned cream teas. Fresh, homemade juice and smoothies are prepared in store.

Taste of Shrewsbury also sell artisan bread, including various focaccias, soda breads, sourdoughs and rye.
